Promos

Use the Hotel Trader Promo Creation Wizard to set up targeted discounts on existing room types and rate plans.

Whether you opt for the convenience of our expertly designed templates or prefer to tailor a promotion from the ground up, follow these 5 simple steps to success. 

1. On the Promotions page, initiate promo creation by clicking Create Promo.
   
2. Select from one of the four pre-designed templates, each optimized for different goals, or choose to start a bespoke promotion with Create a new promo.
   
3. In the Promo Creation Wizard, establish the 4 core elements of your offer:
   1. Name your promotion for easy identification and reference.
   2. Establish Targeting conditions to reach your ideal guest demographics.
      Enable or disable the target conditions, and select the date range or duration as applicable.
      
   3. Determine the Offer type that aligns with your goals.
      
   4. Assign the promotion to specific Rooms and rateplans to maximize its impact.
      Select or unselect the rooms and rateplan combinations as applicable for the promotion you are creating.
      
4. Review and refine your promotions on the Summary screen.
   
5. Choose Save & continue to launch and activate your promo, or select Save as draft to secure your work for further refinement or team input.

By following these steps, you're not just creating a promotion; you're setting the stage for increased visibility, bookings, and revenue.

Here’s how you can disable an active promo:

1. In the promo grid, find the promo you wish to deactivate by utilizing the search functionality for quick navigation.
2. At the promo's corresponding row, click on the 3 vertical dots that open the actions menu.
3. From the menu, select Disable to initiate the deactivation of the promotion.
   
4. A confirmation pop-up will appear as a safeguard; click Disable to affirm your decision.

Your promo is now inactivated with immediate effect.

1. Locate the desired promotion in the promo grid by searching for its name or details. Inactive promotions are marked in the Status column for your convenience.
2. Click on the three vertical dots located at the end of the promotion's row and select Edit from the drop-down menu to launch the Promo Creation Wizard.
   
3. Review the promo conditions and make changes as needed.
4. Click Save & continue to activate and launch the promo immediately.

Follow these steps to activate an existing promo:

1. Navigate to the promo grid to find the promo you intend to activate.
2. Click the three vertical dots at the row's end to access more options.
   
3. Hit Edit to launch the Promo Creation Wizard, where the reactivation process begins.

Smart Promos

Smart Promos are data-driven recommendations designed to help you increase direct bookings and improve rate alignment with minimal effort. Each Smart Promo is automatically generated based on your hotel's past performance and current market opportunities.

Review the pre-configured promotion and launch it instantly—no manual setup required.

How to see Smart Promos

These promo recommendations are targeted specifically for each hotel and generated each week. When you login to the Supplier Portal and if we have an active promo suggestion for you, you will see a pop-up as below:

Click Create Now to open the promo create pop-up, pre-filled with our data driven recommended parameters. Click Create to activate your promo instantly.

Additionally, you can also see the pre-filled Smart Promo option when you click the Create Promo button on the Promotions page as below:
