A Metadata Push from Hotel Trader is followed by a Metadata Audit.
Metadata, which is pushed to the client’s system, is fetched and audited by Hotel Trader. Hotel Trader compares the metadata on both systems and, if there are any discrepancies, takes appropriate measures so that there are no revenue losses on either side.
Points to note:
- If the Metadata Push request fails, no Metadata Audit request is triggered.
- After receiving a successful response, the audit request for a pushed object is immediately queued. Processing time varies based on the queue length—typically seconds with a short queue, or minutes with a longer queue.
- In the current version, all fields are verified through the audit.
There are five separate messages involved in the Metadata Audit. One each for,
- Hotel metadata audit
- Roomtype metadata audit
- Rateplan metadata audit
- Cancellation policy metadata audit
- Tax metadata audit
- Products metadata audit
The response structure of the Metadata Audit is identical to the request structure of the Metadata Push.
